| Counts over 12 years experience in the private sector in Sri Lanka and overseas in financial services, marketing and customer services. He was part of the ADB Business Support Services Facility team promoting business development services to small enterprises in the Central Province where he specialized in supporting SMEs identify marketing and investment opportunities in the regions. He has undertaken several consultancies including identifying investment opportunities in the Central Province and identifying sustainability Measures for Income Generating Projects in tsunami affected areas for several programs of GTZ. Before founding NEF he was the National Coordinator of the GTZ supported Promotion of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises project adapting and implementing the Nucleus approach in tsunami affected areas. Dave was responsible for overseeing a multi cultural project team working in the South and East and within a comparatively short project period managed to engage and serve over 5000 SMEs. He was instrumental in conceptualizing and setting up NEF with the vision to carry out development solutions in livelihood and enterprise promotion especially in the regions. |

| Has 12 years experience in development cooperation primarily in vocational training and SME promotion.She started her career in a project that developed, pilot tested and institutionalized vocational training packages for rural women and youth that included a component on integrating enterprise development into vocational training. She was responsible for the compilation of a manual Employment Oriented Training for Rural Women & Youth: a guide for development. (Published in February 2001, ISBN 955-8492-00-0). Before co founding NEF she headed the SME promotion component of theGTZ supported Economic Strategy Support Program (ESSP), managing a multi cultural project team engaged in SME promotion using the Nucleus approach. Her tasks included administration of local subsidy components funds and coordination of all SME promotion activities of the project. |
